If only there was more fan art centering on the technically canonical pairing of the original novel, instead of frequently showcasing the already-broken couple (Edmond Dantès and Mercédès Herrera)... and perhaps some illustration outside of the Gankutsuou design. Like, drawing the characters according to the costumes they wear during the particular time period set in the novel.

(But I like this one, though! Nice work!)


Truly Edmond Dantès and Haydée are meant for each other, despite the huge age gap.
